Anthology "National Brands and Global Markets: An historical perspective"

2023-02-27

The anthology is edited by Nikolas Glover (economic history, UU) and David M. Higgins (Newcastle University) and is published by Rutledge.

The book, originating from an international workshop held at the department in April 2019, sheds light on the history of "Made in"-legends and how they have been attributed commercial, political and legal importance. Based on a number of national case studies, the volume seeks to historically contextualize brand strategies at industry and company level against the backdrop of social and political processes as well as national legislation and international regulations.
