New book chapter "To Remember or Forget? Financial Crises and Regulatory Regimes in Sweden"
Mats Larsson and Kristina Lilja has written the chapter "To Remember or Forget? Financial Crises and Regulatory Regimes in Sweden" in the recently publoshed book "Remembering and Learning from Financial Crises", Cassis, Y. & Schenk, C. R. (eds.), Oxford University Press.
The chapter identifies when and how past was used in the development of financial regulation in Sweden. Sweden provides a particularly interesting example because of its unusual regulatory framework during most of the post-war period before aggressive deregulation in the 1980s, and the importance of a national banking and financial crisis in 1992 that was not part of a more generalized international crisis
